I'm building my first PC and found a used RTX 3070 listed for ₱16,000 on Facebook Marketplace, which is roughly $280 USD. Is that a fair price in 2026, assuming the card is in good condition? I mainly plan to play FC, NBA 2K, and similar games. I'm fine with low-to-medium settings at 1440p, and I already have a PS5 for demanding AAA titles. Is the 3070's 8GB of VRAM still enough for this kind of use, or should I look for something like a Radeon RX 6700 XT or another card with more VRAM?

I’ve used a 3070 for several years and it has handled games such as Elden Ring, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Age of Empires IV at 1440p without major problems. Hogwarts Legacy was an example where the 8GB limit caused texture and settings issues. For your planned games, it should be fine, but expect to lower settings in future demanding releases rather than assuming it will remain a high-setting 1440p card indefinitely.
For FC, NBA 2K, esports, and other less demanding games, the RTX 3070 should handle 1440p low-to-medium settings comfortably. It can also run many AAA games at 1440p high settings, but newer titles may require reduced textures or upscaling because 8GB of VRAM is becoming restrictive. Make sure the card is tested for temperatures, stability, and any signs of mining or heavy wear before buying.
The 3070 is still a strong 1080p card and a reasonable entry-level 1440p option, but ₱16,000 may not be the best value if you can find a newer card with more VRAM nearby. An RX 6700 XT or RX 6800/6800 XT would give you more room for high-resolution textures, especially in newer games. The 6700 XT has weaker upscaling features than the 3070, though, so availability and the actual prices in your area matter.
