I'm building my first PC and found a used RTX 3070 on Facebook Marketplace for ₱16,000. Is that a fair price in 2026, and will its 8GB of VRAM be enough? I mainly plan to play FC, NBA 2K, and other non-AAA games. I'm fine with low-to-medium settings at 1440p, and I already use a PS5 for demanding AAA titles. Would the RTX 3070 be a good choice, or should I look for something like a Radeon RX 6700 XT or another card with more VRAM?

For the games you listed, a 3070 should handle 1440p low-to-medium settings well, and it can run many games at high settings too. The main drawback is the 8GB VRAM, which can cause problems in newer, more demanding titles. If you’re comfortable lowering textures or other settings, it’s still usable.
It’s still a solid card, but compare it with higher-tier used options before buying. A discounted RX 6800 XT or 6900 XT would be considerably stronger for 1440p, though power requirements, condition, and the rest of your build need to be checked. For your stated games, the 3070 is perfectly reasonable if the card is tested and in good condition.
For non-AAA games and older titles, 8GB should be fine at 1440p. Newer games may require reduced texture quality, especially if you want to avoid stuttering. If you want a comfortable margin for future games, a card with 12GB or more would be safer.
The RTX 3070 is excellent for 1080p and still capable at 1440p, but ₱16,000 may not be the strongest value if you can find a newer card with more VRAM for a similar price. Check prices for an RX 6700 XT, RX 6800, or other 12GB-plus options. Availability and condition matter a lot in the used market.
I’ll keep the RX 6700 XT as my first choice and consider the 3070 if I can’t find one at a good price.
