I work for a company where several Samsung Galaxy Book laptops have recently started displaying an "C: drive not accessible. Access denied." error message. This seems to have occurred after they installed the KB5079473 Windows security update. I've noticed some drivers, like the trackpad, are also failing to work, and I can't even open PowerShell since it's stored on the C drive. Has anyone else experienced this issue specifically with Samsung devices? Are there any solutions other than performing a clean installation? Just to mention, these laptops are part of an Active Directory domain.

I had a similar problem with my Galaxy Book, and I managed to fix it. I followed some suggestions and it seems to have cleared things up. I can't say if the Active Directory status makes a difference, but here's the guide I used: [https://claude.ai/share/37151ce5-3a3d-4747-bb6b-5a651dd9bd46](https://claude.ai/share/37151ce5-3a3d-4747-bb6b-5a651dd9bd46). Give it a try!
I've been through that kind of problem before. I'd recommend checking for any firmware updates specifically for your model, too. Sometimes those updates can resolve issues after major Windows ones.
I've encountered this on about five Galaxy Books myself. Since everyone was in a hurry, we just backed everything up and used Samsung's recovery option (restart the laptop and hit F4). It worked pretty well for us!
