Is ADATA Laptop RAM Worth It?

I really need an upgrade for my laptop to help with my schoolwork, but I'm on a tight budget. I came across some ADATA 2400 MHz 8GB RAM that's super cheap, which made me a bit suspicious. I've heard mixed reviews about ADATA—some people call it trash. Is it a good choice, or should I look for something else?

I think ADATA is a solid brand! I've got a couple of their SSDs totaling 7TB and their RAM has served me well since 2020. The cheaper price could be because it’s DDR4, which is older tech now as most new builds are switching to DDR5.

Yeah, I guess DDR4 is becoming outdated. Appreciate the input!

What’s the RAM capacity you have right now?

I currently have 4GB.

Just check how much it costs across different stores. Sometimes you can snag a great deal!

I've used ADATA stuff for years, including RAM and SSDs, and it's been pretty reliable for me. Sure, it's not the fastest, but I haven't had any major issues or failures. Just my two cents!

I got worried after seeing some comments about it breaking down quickly. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Both my Qnap NAS units came with ADATA RAM, and they've been running fine for years. It’s not the top-tier stuff, but it’s a decent choice if you're not going for premium. It might not be as well-known, but that doesn’t mean it's bad!

That’s good to know! Thanks for the reassurance.
