Is ADATA RAM a Good Choice for My Laptop?

I'm in a bit of a bind and need a better laptop for school, but I'm low on funds. I found an ADATA 8GB RAM stick with a speed of 2400 MHz at a really low price, and I'm a little uncertain about it. Some people have said bad things about ADATA quality. Should I go for it, or is ADATA not worth considering?

I've used ADATA products without any issues for years. I've had several RAM sticks and SSDs from them, and while they may not be the fastest out there, I haven't faced any failures or errors with them.

I was worried after hearing things like 'it only lasts a week.' Thanks for the reassurance!

My Qnap NAS came with ADATA RAM, and it’s still running great after many years. It's not the top-of-the-line RAM, but it gets the job done. Plus, I've had other budget sticks work out for me too. Just wanted to share that it's not as bad as some say.

How much RAM are you currently using in your laptop?

CuriousCat99 -

I only have 4 gigs of RAM right now.

What's the price of this RAM? It might be worth checking multiple stores or marketplaces to compare.

Honestly, ADATA is a solid brand. I have 7 TB of SSDs from them along with quite a bit of their RAM. I've had no problems since I got them back in 2020. The low price for the 8GB DDR4 stick might just be because it's an older standard compared to DDR5, which most new gaming PCs are using now.

Ugh, I get it. DDR4 feels outdated now. Thanks for the info!
