Is Air Cooling Sufficient for My i5-14600KF?

I'm upgrading my PC and I'm torn between using air cooling versus liquid cooling for my new i5-14600KF. I've heard this CPU tends to run hot, which makes me wonder if I should go for liquid cooling. However, I'm really worried about potential coolant leaks that could damage my setup. I've also seen people say that air cooling is usually enough for this processor. Can anyone weigh in on whether air cooling will work for me, especially since I don't plan on overclocking?

You really don't need liquid cooling for the i5 14 gen. An air cooler will handle it well unless you're going for something extreme like the 13900KS. Just make sure to pick a good air cooler!

Yeah, air cooling will work perfectly fine for your i5-14600KF. My friend's got the same setup and she runs it just fine with an air cooler. No worries there!

I've got my i5-14600KF running on a Noctua NH-D15 and it stays cool without any issues at stock speeds. Plus, I've heard the ThermalRight Phantom Spirit does a great job for less money. As long as you get a decent air cooler, you should be just fine!

Totally agree! The Noctua is great, but the Phantom Spirit is a solid choice too. Air cooling is really all you need unless you're planning to overclock.

I use a Noctua NH-U12A with my i7, and it works great without any overclocking. You should be good with a decent air cooler! No need to complicate things with liquid cooling unless you really want to.
