I'm building a new PC with a 9070 (non-xt) GPU and a 9600x CPU, and based on PCPartPicker's estimate, my current wattage requirement is around 409W. I'm looking at getting an 850W PSU and I'm pretty sure that's sufficient for my current build, but I'm curious about whether it will be enough for future upgrades. I've got my eye on the Be Quiet Pure Power 12M 850W. What do you all think? Will I be covered for upcoming components?

You may be fine now, but power consumption for future CPUs and GPUs will likely increase. Physics is physics, and while 850W is a decent amount, who knows how much more power future components will need? New standards might also come into play, so you can’t fully future-proof yourself just with a high-wattage PSU.
It sounds good to me. Just remember, electricity prices aren't going down, so future GPUs are probably going to follow that trend. As long as you steer clear of the highest-end 90 series GPUs, 850W should be enough for quite a while.
Unless you plan on upgrading to a super high-end GPU like an RTX 5090, 850W will be more than enough. Just keep an eye on the power requirements as they get released. If you’re in the US, consider checking out the Montech Century II 850W too, it's a solid option.
I put in a 750W and kind of regret not going with a 1000W because upgrades are very possible. Even if you think you’re set now, things can change quickly in this space!
An ATX 3.X 850W PSU should handle anything except for maybe those ultra-powerful GPUs. With your 9600X, you might even squeeze a high-end GPU like the 5090 in there, but you won't have much headroom, so it could be tight. Also, if your system demands more power than your PSU can provide, it might not fry your system but you could run into stability issues.
