I'm almost done building my PC and I'm just waiting to get a GPU next month. I'm considering pairing an Intel i5-14400 CPU with a 1660 Super GPU. Will this combination work well together, or is there a risk of a bottleneck?

Actually, I've had the i5-14400 paired with a 1660 Super before. It's a good match for many games. Even if the 1660 Super isn't the latest, it can still perform decently in titles like Cyberpunk and COD.

That's great to hear! I'm looking forward to trying it out.

What do you mean by bottleneck? If you're asking whether one component will slow down the performance of the other, it generally depends on the tasks you're running and the games you play. For more details, you might want to check out this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bottleneck_(software)

I'm currently using an AMD 9060xt with the i5-14400, and it matches well. So you should have a pleasant experience even with the 1660 Super.

The i5-14400 is pretty powerful and can actually handle a much faster GPU than the 1660 Super. Since the 1660 Super is a bit older and slower, you shouldn't run into any serious bottleneck issues with this combo.
