Hey everyone, I'm trying to catch up with tech after being out of the loop for a bit. I mainly use my PC for work, but I also game and do some 4K video editing. I'm considering upgrading from my current RTX 3080 Hybrid because I'm eyeing the new LG 45 UltraGear Monitor (model 45GX950A-B). My system was built last year with a 1200W PSU and 64GB of DDR5 RAM. My question is, can I just swap in a 5090 without experiencing bottleneck issues or would that be a problem? Not in a rush to upgrade, just weighing my options!

The higher the resolution, the more your games will depend on the GPU rather than the CPU. The i9-12900K is still a powerful CPU, so you should be fine. If it does bottleneck, you might even consider mild overclocking.
Honestly, you’d get better results pairing a 5080 with a 9800X3D instead of going for the 5090 with your current setup, especially for gaming.
Absolutely, go for it! Bottlenecks aren't as scary as they sound. They depend on the scenario, and in most cases, you're going to be just fine with that setup.
You won't have a bottleneck at 4K. At 1080p, your CPU might hit 100% utilization while your GPU stays around 85%. So, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Just remember, if you do run into bottlenecking later, you'll know which part to upgrade next.
Yeah, bottlenecks aren't really a huge concern unless they start creating noticeable performance issues. If you want the GPU, get it and see how it goes. If issues arise, you can deal with them then.
