Is an Intel CPU a Good Choice for My New PC Build?

I'm planning to build a new computer, and I'm considering an Intel CPU. Given the current RAM prices, I can't afford a 7800X3D or anything above that, and the 5700X3D is going for around $600 here. I want to stick with my current DDR4 RAM because it works well, so I'm thinking about going with a 13700KF. Would that pair nicely with a 9070XT and last me a couple of years? Any thoughts?

If you want the best bang for your buck, the 14600K is a great choice and offers solid performance for DDR4 systems. It's a good option if you're looking to avoid the common issues with i7s and i9s, especially concerning power consumption. Just make sure to update the BIOS and lock the Vcore max voltage to 1.45V; that should keep things running smoothly. Also, disabling Hyper-Threading can help bring down power usage and temperatures while boosting performance in most games.

Thanks for the tip! But I've been out of the loop for five years—what are those i7 and i9 issues you're talking about? And is the 14600K an i5?
