I've had a tough time lately with Windows updates causing chaos on my machines. Just yesterday, I had a couple of physical computers that needed to roll back updates, and right now, all four of my Windows 11 virtual machines are down, along with one physical machine. Is this just me, or are others facing the same issues?

I had the same issue on some of my VMs using KVM as the hypervisor. They crashed with an unsupported processor warning, but changing the processor type for the VM resolved the issue. My main laptop also encountered the dreaded "enter your BitLocker recovery key" screen after updates, but thankfully it rolled back and I was back in business.
Can you share the KB number or update version that caused the trouble? It might help pinpoint the issue. For example, I had KB5056579 installed overnight, which caused my machine to hang on boot. It only started working again after I rebooted it. One of my other machines also had to roll back an update to boot properly.
I've had some PCs lose their network connections after updates too. One fix that worked for me was reinstalling the network drivers on those machines. It seems to help them connect again. If your PC is getting the IP address but still won't connect, sometimes a few reboots do the trick. It’s frustrating!
I upgraded a laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and it blue screened on me this week. I finally got it stable after running the cumulative update that rolled out on 07/25 for Win10. Now I’m in the middle of moving from 23H2 to 24H2 on Win11, and guess what? Blue screen again! Never had troubles like this before.
I've also dealt with blue screens after the updates; particularly, my graphics card seemed to be the culprit, pointing towards Nvidia and Intel drivers. Updating the graphics driver often resolves these issues. Also, some users experienced heavy stuttering after the updates, which was fixed by reinstalling video drivers.
