I've been facing a ton of issues with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). We're getting thousands of connection error logs, users are always complaining about long connection times, and disconnections seem to happen constantly. I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with our configuration or if AVD is just generally subpar. Has anyone else experienced this?

AVD works well most of the time, but when it doesn't, it's frustrating! It can feel like you're just guessing your way through it due to poor documentation. Some people have found tools like Nerdio helpful, even if it’s still a bit of trial and error now and then.
It sounds like it might be a network issue. Are you using RDP ShortPath or Express Route? There are definitely ways to enhance network performance if that's where the trouble lies.
Sorry if this sounds dumb, but how do you actually implement RDP ShortPath or Express Route in an AVD environment?
I have a user on a mobile connection at home, and they’ve never reported similar issues. It could be that your VM images aren't optimized, or there’s something off with your network configuration. Check out the Virtual Desktop Optimization Tool on GitHub for tips on how to tweak your settings for AVD. Just make sure to read the instructions carefully before making changes!
Ours works flawlessly! I think having a dedicated VM makes a huge difference. Are you on a pooled setup? That might be causing some inconsistency for your users.
In my experience, AVD works great, but the connection issues usually stem from the user's end. You might want to look into RDP MultiPath; it's newly available and can help with performance!
Yeah, Nerdio is a game changer for managing these issues. Their documentation is way better than Microsoft's, even if it can still feel hit or miss.
