Is Barracuda Email Firewall Worth It?

I currently use Barracuda as my email firewall for all my clients, but I'm facing numerous issues. Important emails are being blocked, while a lot of spam seems to slip through. Additionally, the support team hasn't provided any viable solutions, which is causing frustration for both me and my clients. Since I've only experienced Barracuda, I'm wondering if others have faced similar problems with it? Should I consider switching to another provider? If so, what are some reliable alternatives?

We switched from Barracuda to ProofPoint, and it has completely resolved our issues. It's been a game changer!

Does ProofPoint support on-premises Exchange?

ProofPoint is definitely aimed at enterprise-level, while Barracuda seems more geared towards SMBs. That might be part of your issue.

CheckPoint and Mimecast are great alternatives. I've used both, and honestly, they outperform Barracuda significantly. Much better control and lesser false positives.

I feel you! We switched from Barracuda to Mimecast and it’s been a relief. No more issues like we had before.

Honestly, Barracuda has had a poor reputation for years. I remember back when we had their appliances, they had some serious security flaws. Their support was less than helpful when we faced those issues, too.

Yeah, I remember their products being outdated even 20 years ago. Not much has changed.

It sounds like they haven't improved at all since then!
