Hey everyone! I'm a long-time Firefox user, and I've recently decided to make the switch to Brave due to some changes in Firefox's privacy policy. I love Firefox, but it's been a bit slow and has compatibility issues lately. So, I installed Brave on my Windows machine, got everything set up, imported my bookmarks, and enabled sync. However, when I installed Brave on my Linux partition, I found out that it doesn't sync all settings across devices. After some digging online, I realized this seems to be a common problem. I'm frustrated because I've had consistent settings on Firefox for over 20 years. Does this mean I have to reconfigure everything every time I install Brave on a new device?

It can be a bit annoying, but yeah, Brave’s sync isn’t perfect. A lot of users have reported similar issues where settings just don’t carry over to new devices properly. It's definitely not as seamless as it should be, and many feel that it’s a big drawback for a privacy-focused browser.
Honestly, Brave has some quirks. There have been discussions about their privacy practices, and situations like this just add fuel to the fire. It's not the perfect solution to everyone's privacy concerns, even if it has its perks like built-in ad blocking. Just be aware that it’s not all smooth sailing.
True, but every browser has its issues. Sometimes you just have to pick the one that bothers you the least!
Yeah, it’s a hassle. I had to redo my settings recently too. You might want to keep checking updates; hopefully, they’ll improve this feature soon.
