Is Buying a 7900XTX for £600 from a Friend a Smart Move?

Hey everyone! My friend recently upgraded to a 5090 and is selling me his 7900XTX, which is only a couple of months old, for £600. I'm currently using a 5700XTX, so this would be a big jump in performance. The thing is, I wasn't really planning to upgrade right now since I only play Path of Exile 2 every so often. What do you all think about this deal?

Considering it's from a friend, it sounds like a solid deal! You know him, so it's unlikely he's trying to pull a fast one. Plus, the 7900XTX is a powerful card that will definitely give you a nice performance boost over your current setup.

Just be sure you'll be able to support it with the rest of your PC. If you're coming from a 5700XTX, you might need to consider upgrades to other parts, especially the PSU. But overall, if everything checks out compatibility-wise, go for it!

This is an insane deal! Ignore anyone worried about CPU bottlenecks; just ensure your power supply can handle the new card. You'll see a huge leap in performance, and once you experience that, you might want to upgrade your CPU later.

Yeah, that's a great deal! I just purchased one myself and I'm really happy with it. It’s hard to beat that price for a significant upgrade, especially from someone you trust.
