I've been using ChatGPT regularly, primarily version 4o, but lately I've noticed it's becoming pretty unreliable. It struggles with even the simplest of tasks, like basic addition, and it even misidentifies my state, insisting I'm located somewhere else instead of California. It's frustrating because it feels like its performance has declined significantly over the past few weeks. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Should I consider switching to a different model?

I've also noticed a lot of hallucinations. The other day, I asked for some data to back up my argument, and when I went to check the sources it provided, they were totally made up! It's like overtraining the model has messed things up big time.
I thought it was just me! Since the recent updates, my free model has struggled with basic RPG tasks I was doing just fine before. I even switched to Gemini last night and it actually provided me with a complete guide for a game I wanted to make. There was no fluff or weird personality—just straightforward help! Quite refreshing!
I dropped ChatGPT about a month ago and honestly, I wish I'd done it sooner. It just wasn't working for me anymore!
I'm also thinking about canceling my membership. Might just use it for free if I need it at all.
What are you using now instead?
I've been using the voice mode, and it's been a disaster for like seven months now. Since they revamped it, it can't even pronounce numbers right. It’s insane that this kind of tech is valued at billions!
My free plan model actually handles math quite well, no problems at all on that front. Just curious if the issues are tied to the Plus plan?
Exactly! I can't trust the information it gives anymore.
