Is CrossOver Linux Worth the Investment for Running TurboTax?

As an experienced Linux user, I've been using Wine and Proton to run Windows software. I'm currently facing issues trying to install TurboTax 2025 on Linux, as it requires Windows 11 for installation. Although I've tried to set Wine to emulate Windows 11, it hasn't worked. I have the option of using a Windows VM or a partition, but I'm looking for an easier solution if there is one. I found CrossOver, a paid software that claims to run Windows applications on Linux. I'm hesitant to spend $74 on it and wonder if it's truly worth it for my situation. I'm using KUbuntu 25.10 with a solid setup: an Intel i9-9900k, 64GB RAM, and an Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with CrossOver. Wine and Proton are great and free options. You might try running TurboTax through Steam with Proton; some users have had success with that. Just a thought!
