Is €1771 for 2x16GB DDR5 RAM a Scam?

I came across a deal in Spain where a 2x16GB DDR5 RAM kit is listed for €539 after a 69% discount from an original price of €1771. It's sold directly by a reputable store (PCComponentes), not a third-party seller. I'm curious if this is a scam or if there's a reason for such a drastic price difference. Also, it mentions specifications of DDR5 6000MHz CL28 with AMD EXPO and Intel XMP support. What do you think?

That’s a pretty outrageous original price. DDR5 prices are dropping, so if you can hold off for a month or two, you could find better deals without the inflated 'discounts'.

Yeah, that original price is total nonsense. As for CL28 vs CL30, you might save around €150 going for CL30 without sacrificing too much performance if you're just coding and gaming. It might be worth considering if you're budget-conscious.

Noted! I think I might go for CL30 since I don't need the absolute best specs for my use.

I've seen G.Skill RAM with similar specs going for around €478, so this deal isn’t that impressive in terms of discount.

Are there no laws in Spain that require stores to show the original price clearly for discounts? It seems misleading to advertise these inflated prices.

That original price sounds inflated. I've seen similar RAM prices ranging from €350 to €400. Definitely seems like a marketing tactic to make the discount look better than it is.
