I'm considering a career change and I'm curious if obtaining the Azure AZ-900 and AZ-104 certifications would be a sufficient way to land a role in cloud support. Do these certifications hold enough weight on their own, or is there more I need?

Unfortunately, just having the certifications isn't enough. Employers usually want to see hands-on experience and a background in IT. Cloud roles often require knowledge of service desk work and systems administration. Understanding infrastructure and networking is also key. I’ve worked as a sysadmin for ten years and am just now pursuing the AZ-104 to transition to cloud support, but even that isn’t enough without prior cloud experience.

What would you suggest for someone looking to break into the field? I have a tech-savvy background, but it's more from graphic design and UX. I'm hoping to enter even at an intern level.
