I accidentally broke the DisplayPort on my monitor. Should I switch to HDMI instead, or is there a significant difference between using HDMI and DisplayPort for my setup?

It really depends on your monitor and what you want to do with it. If you're mostly using it for productivity or some light gaming at 1080p, you might not notice a big difference with a decent HDMI cable. But at higher resolutions or frame rates, the advantages of DisplayPort can really come into play.
I'm running 1080p with a 280Hz refresh rate, and my graphics card is a 3070. Are there any specific HDMI cables that can handle this?
