Is it a bad time to upgrade my PC parts?

I built my gaming PC back in 2020 with an i7 9700, a 2080 Super GPU, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. Lately, I've been facing frequent power cycles and blue screen errors, roughly one BSOD every four hours. I've already ruled out problems with the power supply, RAM, updated the BIOS, and reinstalled Windows, so I suspect my CPU might be failing. Given the current market conditions, should I rebuild my system now? What are my options?

If you need new hardware, then it's just something you'll have to do. Remember, there’s no such thing as the perfect time to buy; just find what meets your needs. Tailor your choices based on what you're using your rig for and avoid spending extra on unnecessary upgrades.

If keeping costs low is a concern, I’d suggest finding a used i7 9700 or something similar. It’s the most cost-effective route if you’re certain that’s the issue. You might need to test a few components, though, since the problem could be with your motherboard or even other hardware rather than just the CPU. If replacing isn't feasible financially, consider underclocking your CPU or slowing down your memory to see if it alleviates the issues.

I totally get that! I really don't want to overspend, especially since the market isn't great right now. I've already replaced the PSU and checked the RAM, so a CPU swap might be my next step, but it seems odd to grab another i7 when there are newer options available.
