Is it a good idea to downgrade my RAM?

I'm wondering if I should downgrade my RAM. Here's my current setup: I have a LIAN LI O11 Dynamic EVO RGB Black case, an ASUS ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming WiFi II motherboard, and an Intel i7-14700k CPU. For cooling, I'm using an ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 420 aRGB. My RAM is G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series with 128GB (4 x 32GB) running at 6400 MT. I also have an MSI RTX 4090 GAMING X TRIO for graphics and a couple of Elgato capture cards. Right now, I'm maxed out at 5600 MT due to the CPU, and going higher with XMP causes blue screens. Should I just sell two of my RAM sticks?

Yeah, it might be a good idea to sell two of your sticks since the RAM market is pretty good right now. You could get some cash back, and that extra 64GB likely isn’t gonna benefit your gaming much anyway.

If you're mainly using it for gaming, then yeah, dropping half your RAM could help. 64GB is usually more than enough for most games. Plus, you’ll save money and reduce potential issues with RAM speeds.

Right now, I mostly use it for watching anime and just running Runescape. Gaming is definitely my main focus going forward, and maybe some streaming too.
