I built my PC back in 2020 and haven't made any upgrades since. Lately, I've noticed it's struggling with newer and larger games, which I think is mostly due to my GPU. I mainly play single-player games but want to enjoy newer titles without performance issues.
Here are my current specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- Motherboard: B450 AORUS M
- GPU: Radeon RX 570 Series
- Memory: G.SKILL RipjawsV Series DDR4 RAM (16GB)
- Hard Drive: Team Group Gx2 2.5" 512GB SSD
I'm wondering if I should just save up more and buy a whole new system instead of upgrading individual parts. What do you think?

Before deciding, consider your budget and what resolutions you're gaming at. Upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600 or even an X3D variant can give you a notable boost for your existing GPU, assuming your budget allows it. If you're looking for a more significant change, maybe save a bit more for a new GPU as well.
If I were you, I'd focus on upgrading the GPU and CPU first, especially since you're already on DDR4. DDR5 is a bit pricey right now, so sticking with your current RAM makes sense. A strong AM4 processor like the 5800X3D can make a massive difference in performance without needing a GPU upgrade immediately.
