Is It My PSU or Motherboard That’s Causing My PC to Fail?

Hey folks! I'm hoping to get some insights on my computer not starting up. I'm trying to figure out if the issue lies with my power supply or motherboard, or maybe something else entirely. Here's my setup:
- **CPU**: i7-8086K (it's a special edition of the 8700K)
- **Motherboard**: Asus Prime Z370-A
- **RAM**: 32GB Corsair LPX 3000/15
- **Cooler**: Dark Rock Pro 4
- **PSU**: Be Quiet! Straight Power 11 750W
- **GPU**: Nvidia 3070

**Symptoms:** When I try to turn on the PC, it starts for a few seconds, then shuts off and repeatedly tries to restart. Sometimes the CPU LED on the motherboard lights up, but it reboots almost immediately, so it doesn't stay on for long. I'm not getting any display output from either the motherboard or the GPU, but the power LED on the motherboard stays lit.

**What I've Tried:**
- Removed the GPU (didn't fix it)
- Swapped out one RAM stick (the accessible one), which did light up the RAM LED briefly before rebooting
- Replaced the CMOS battery (no change)

I have a multimeter at my disposal, but I don't have a PSU tester or a spare PSU to try out. Any suggestions on what might be wrong or how I can test the PSU using a multimeter? Thanks a lot in advance!

It sounds like a tricky situation! Even though the PSU voltages tested okay, it’s still possible the PSU itself might be failing under load. I’d recommend trying a different PSU just to rule that out completely. Sometimes even a minor issue can lead to these boot loops. Let us know how that goes!

I just tried swapping in a different PSU and also another DDR4 stick. The PC started up, but no displays showed up, and then it shut down again. Feels like I’m going in circles here!

Yeah, I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat, looking to borrow another PSU myself to see if it helps. Let’s keep each other updated!
