Is it normal for a new laptop to take 30 minutes to boot up?

I just bought a brand new Acer Aspire Lite 15, and I'm worried because the first boot has been going on for 30 minutes. I'm not really tech-savvy, and I've got a work project due in a few days. Should I be concerned?

It's definitely unusual for a brand new laptop to take that long on its first boot. Usually, it should load up within a few minutes. You might want to check if there's any issue, like the screen just showing the logo with a loading icon. If it's been stuck for a while, try a hard reboot by holding down the power button.

Yeah, I agree. If it's still on the logo after 30 minutes, that’s a sign something might be off. It could be a system update going on or a possible hardware issue.
