Is It Normal for My PC Fans to Get Loud When Launching Chrome?

Hey everyone, I'm curious if it's normal for my PC fans to run really loud for a few seconds right after I launch Google Chrome? My setup includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X CPU, and while my temperatures sit at about 35°C when idle, they spike to around 64°C when I start Chrome. Any insights on this would be appreciated! Thanks!

For sure, it's normal. When Chrome launches, it loads a lot of resources at once, which may spike your CPU workload and in turn, trigger those fans. Your temps are still fine, just keep an eye on them!

Yeah, that's pretty normal! Chrome is notorious for consuming a lot of RAM and system resources, which can ramp up your fan speed for a moment as your PC works harder. If it's really bothering you, you might want to try a lighter browser since Chrome can be pretty demanding.

The max temp for your Ryzen 7 is around 95°C, so you're well within the safe zone at 64°C. If you're looking for quieter cooling, you might want to invest in a better air cooler or a 240mm AIO cooler. They can help keep temps lower and fans quieter!

Good call on the cooler upgrade! I've noticed a big difference with mine.

Honestly, I'd just switch browsers if you find Chrome too much for your PC. There are plenty of alternatives like Brave or Firefox that are a lot less resource-hungry.
