I'm planning a mid-range build with a Fractal North XL case and I want to know if I can just use the rear and top-rear fans as exhaust. I'm using a single-fan air cooling tower for my 65w CPU, but I removed the stock fans because they were too loud and one was rattling. I can't afford to buy additional intake fans, so I'm wondering if this setup will work or if I should make other adjustments.

Just a heads-up, if you're running with only those two exhausts, make sure your CPU cooler is up to the job. Those pre-installed fans in the Fractal cases do help a lot for airflow, and since you removed them due to noise, it might be a bit of a trade-off. Just keep monitoring your system's performance to ensure it's stable.
Are you planning on having any intake fans? Without them, you might not get enough airflow, which can raise the temps inside your case.
You can definitely try using just those two exhaust fans and see how your temperatures hold up. It won't damage anything. Keep an eye on the temps and noise to see if you're okay with it. If things get too hot or noisy, you can always consider adding more fans later.
