I'm building my first PC and I've chosen the Raidmax i801 case. It comes with three pre-installed fans (1 in the rear, 2 in the sides) and allows for up to three 120mm or 140mm fans at the top. I'm curious if I can also install three 120mm fans on the bottom of the case. Would these fans cool the GPU above, or would they just be directing air down towards the PSU? I noticed the specifications didn't mention support for bottom fans, so I want to confirm before I buy more fans.

It looks like there aren't any fan mounts or perforations at the bottom of the case, so you can't really install fans there. It might not be designed for that.
The manufacturer's site doesn't mention bottom fan support, and from the images, it seems like the inside bottom doesn't have any mounting holes. So unfortunately, you're likely out of luck for adding fans down there.
Officially, the case is only set up to support fans on the sides, top, and rear. If you're adventurous, you might try to zip tie some fans at the bottom, but it won't look sleek and could affect airflow since they'd be sucking air against the PSU or storage area.
I did see on the manufacturer's site that under Fan Support, it mentions "PSU Chamber: 120mm x 3." So is that suggesting I can fit fans there? Just confused since I don't see mounting holes!
