Is it possible to transfer a discontinued app to a new PC?

I used to rely on an app called Lowkey.gg for clipping while gaming, but it was absorbed by Niantic and the service is no longer available. Surprisingly, my version of Lowkey has still been functional for clipping over the years. Now, I want to know if I can transfer this discontinued application to my new PC and continue using it. When I tried to run the saved .exe file, it indicated that I needed an internet connection despite being online. What files or steps do I need to follow to successfully move the app?

Sometimes older apps store settings in hidden folders, like AppData on Windows. Make sure to enable viewing hidden files to see if there’s anything you might need to copy over. It's worth a shot!

Thanks for the tip! I'll look for hidden folders and see if that helps.

To transfer an old app like Lowkey.gg, you typically need both the executable file and any associated data files it saved on your PC. When you tried running the .exe and saw the internet error, it might be checking for online resources or updates that are no longer available since the app was discontinued. Try copying the entire folder where the app is installed, not just the .exe file. Look for files that might contain settings or saved data, usually in the same directory or under a specific app data folder in your user profile.

Good point! Also, don't forget to check your Windows Registry if there are any settings tied there that the app might need post-transfer.
