I'm considering making the switch to Linux again after trying it on my HP laptop, but I had a lot of frustrating audio issues that I couldn't fix. There were times when I couldn't even log in because my keyboard wouldn't work, and my wifi would randomly drop, forcing me to restart constantly. I ended up going back to Windows. Now I'm looking at a new Acer laptop with a 3070ti and 32GB of RAM, and I want to know if I can run FL Studio to produce music while also playing games on Linux. I'm mostly into Steam games and I'd love to hear if there are any gaming-centric distributions. If a full switch isn't feasible, I'm okay with dual booting, but I'm really getting fed up with Windows.

Sounds like you're mainly into MMOs and shooters. Just keep in mind that titles needing kernel-level anti-cheat might not be playable on Linux. But for most of your games, especially if you avoid Riot games, you should be good. Check out ProtonDB to see specific compatibility, it’s a great resource!
Yeah, FL Studio runs pretty well on Linux! You can check the compatibility on WineHQ to see how it performs. As for games, it really depends on what you want to play. Some games might have issues, especially ones with anti-cheat features, while others like Hollow Knight work without any problems. What games are you into?
I had some hassle with plugins in FL Studio on Linux, which is why I dualboot Windows for music production. But for gaming, I’ve had no issues at all with my favorite titles. Just make sure to look up your games on ProtonDB to confirm they work well!

I’ve heard about distros like Bazzite and Cachy OS. Are they worth a shot for gaming on Linux?
