I'm new to PC building and planning my very first setup. My desk is pretty small, and I have carpet, so I'm wondering if it's okay to keep my PC on a riser under my desk. I want to use the H9 Flow case, which is quite large, but I can't fit a bigger desk since it's attached to the wall. Are there any smaller cases you would recommend as well?

It's better to keep PCs off the floor to avoid dust getting sucked in. Dust can build up and affect cooling over time. If you can, try to raise it a bit.
I've kept mine on the floor for over a decade! The only thing I noticed is that it collects dust a bit faster, so I clean it every few months. I actually use a small riser like this one to help with airflow: [link].
I keep my PC on a wooden keyboard tray right on the carpet. No issues so far, just stay on top of the dusting every now and then!
I’ve had PCs on tile floors for decades and they’ve worked great! If you’re using carpet, maybe just put something like a piece of wood underneath to keep it off the ground a bit.
It’ll be perfectly fine on the floor. Just remember to clean it out regularly to keep the dust from building up!
You could always get a little shelf to set up on the carpet. I did that when I had mine on the floor, and it worked like a charm!
I’ve been putting my PC right on its little legs on the carpet for years without any issues. Just make sure to keep an eye on the dust.

I feel you! I've also kept mine directly on the carpet for years and never had a problem.
