I recently bought a Palit 5070 Ti, but it didn't come with a sag bracket, and I can't get my aftermarket stand to fit in my compact case. It's been about a week without any sag support, and I won't be able to get a proper stand for another week. Can anyone tell me the chances of damaging the PCIe slot if I leave it like this for a little longer?

Most likely, you won't have any issues running your GPU without a sag bracket, even for weeks. Many people don’t use them on mid-range cards without facing problems. Just make sure your GPU is securely screwed into the PCIe bracket for extra support!
If you're really stressed about it, consider laying your PC on its side so the GPU stands vertically. It’s a simple solution!
I love that idea! It's definitely a reasonable fix.
Honestly, you can use pretty much anything to prop it up temporarily. People have used things like toilet paper rolls or pencils—whatever fits the gap works. Just don't worry too much about it!
I once used a broken butter knife that worked great!
Most sag brackets are more for looks than necessity. As long as you’re not frequently moving your PC, your 5070 Ti should be fine without it. If it really bothers you, just buy a sag bracket when you can; it's not super urgent!
True, I’ve built many systems without any issues, even without sag brackets!
It varies by case and GPU weight, but if your 5070 Ti is a smaller model, you should be completely fine for now. It's not as big of a concern as it is with larger cards, so relax!
Great point! I’ve seen smaller models handle just fine.
Definitely! It helps a lot if the GPU is locked in the slot.
