I'm a bit uneasy about using AI tools and how they handle personal information. I want to give my front yard a makeover for my kids, and a coworker suggested I upload a photo to ChatGPT to get some fresh ideas. I'm concerned about privacy—how safe is it to share a photo of my home? Are there any real risks involved with this?

You don’t need to stress about it. I've asked about photo privacy before, and it seems ChatGPT doesn’t save the images. After you're done chatting, you can just close the session. I can’t find a photo I previously uploaded after ending the chat!
Well, your home's location is already public info, so I wouldn’t worry too much about what AI could do with your photo since it’s not much different from what Google Maps can show. Just keep in mind that AI might process the image differently than a person would.
If you're not comfortable with it, then skip it! But honestly, anyone can see your house on Google without needing your address. So I’d say, don’t let that hold you back! 🌳
There's a low risk! AI processes images differently—think of it as analyzing pixel data rather than recognizing them like we do. If you're worried about your data, just delete the chat right after you're done! It minimizes any risk.
