Is it safe to update my BIOS after a couple of years with constant PC issues?

I've had my prebuilt PC from Skytech since 2022, and it's been a struggle. My specs are Ryzen 5 7600x, Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 RAM (32GB), an Asus Prime B650M-A-AX motherboard, an Asus TUF RTX 4080 for the GPU, and a MSI Spatium M450 1TB SSD. Unfortunately, I've faced multiple problems like crashes, BSODs, and memory corruption, which led to lots of reinstalls and even sending it back for repairs. They replaced one of the RAM sticks and SSD, but the issues returned, and my warranty has expired. I've read that updating the BIOS, which hasn't been done since purchase, could help fix these problems. However, I'm nervous about doing it since I've seen that a bad update could brick my PC. Any advice?

Just make sure to read the instructions for your motherboard carefully. It's best not to update your BIOS during a storm or when the power might flicker. If you follow the steps properly, you should be fine!

Thanks! Quick follow-up: Do I need to take out my GPU while updating the BIOS, or can I leave it in?
