Hey everyone! I'm considering a new PC build after almost 9 years with my current setup, which has been great but is now showing signs of age like regular bluescreens and bootloops. My last build includes an Intel i7-4790K, GTX 1060, and 16GB of DDR3 RAM, and it's unable to run Windows 11. I mainly use my PC for gaming and some graphic design, aiming for longer-lasting performance without frequent upgrades. I'd love to handle 1440p gaming and run two screens smoothly while also being able to use a few VMs for learning cybersecurity.
I've got a potential build in mind including an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, a Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX motherboard, and an ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU. However, I'm unsure if I should opt for a less expensive CPU like the Ryzen 7 7700 or even consider Intel. The GPU prices are quite high here in Poland, and I'd like to know if this build is overkill for my needs or if it's a good time to invest considering potential price changes in the near future. Any advice?
