Is It Time to Sell My RTX 4090 Due to Issues?

I bought a Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 4090 back in 2022, and while it's an amazing graphics card, I've been having some frustrating problems. After the first couple of months, I started having trouble updating the drivers, no matter how I tried (including using DDU). It felt like a gamble every time, and the downloading success rate was super low. Recently, I've even thought about selling it to get something like an RX 9070xt because these issues are turning into more trouble than the performance is worth.

I've also been experiencing random blue screens since I got it, especially with my i9 13900k, though they don't happen while gaming. Given these ongoing problems, do you think I should sell my RTX 4090? And if so, what's the best platform to do that?

From what you've described, it sounds more like a problem with your i9 or possibly the RAM rather than the GPU itself. The RTX 4090 is a beast, but it's also not the likely culprit in this case. Have you tried diagnosing the other components? Like checking the RAM or the CPU? Could save you a lot of hassle if it’s not the GPU!

Why didn't you RMA the card when you first noticed the issues? If it's still under warranty, you should definitely send it back, especially since you mentioned it's a recent problem. But just keep in mind that dropping down to a 9070xt would be a big downgrade—like, really big!

I bought it from Amazon, and they only have a one-month return policy.
