Is it time to upgrade from my 3060 Ti to a 5070?

I've been using a 3060 Ti and it generally meets my needs, but it has a hard time with games like Monster Hunter World. The majority of the time, I'm satisfied with the performance, especially with features like frame generation. I'm only interested in a couple of upcoming AAA games, namely Death Stranding 2 and Onimusha. Given the current pricing trends and tariff issues, I'm feeling pressured to buy, especially since AIB prices are rising. Would upgrading to a 5070 be a smart move right now, especially if I can snag it at MSRP?

If you're going for the 5070, why not just step it up to a 5070 Ti? They're not too hard to find at decent prices these days, and you'll get a massive performance boost that should last you for years. Price might be a factor, but it’s well worth the investment!

If you’re very keen on upgrading, consider looking for a used 3080 or 3080 Ti. You could sell the 3060 Ti to offset some of the cost. It'll give you a great performance boost while you wait for newer tech prices to drop.

If you can get the 5070 at MSRP, it’s probably a solid deal compared to other cards out there right now. Even though some folks are saying the performance gains over the Ada line aren't massive, jumping from a 3060 Ti to a 5070 will feel like a significant upgrade. No reason to hesitate if you see it at a fair price!

The specs are saying the 5070 is about 76% faster than the 3060 Ti and with 4GB more VRAM. That could definitely help future-proof your setup. If you're okay with waiting for sales, definitely do that and avoid overpaying!

Exactly! If you hold out for the right moment, you might find a better deal that suits your budget.

Honestly, you seem pretty content with your 3060 Ti. If it's doing just fine except for that one title, you might want to hold off for a little while and wait until you really *need* more performance. The tech landscape is always changing, and if you can manage for now, it could be worth it to see what prices and options look like in the next couple of years.

I just went through the same dilemma! I almost grabbed a 3070 at BestBuy but decided against it since I figured it would be a waste of money for now. It feels smarter to wait a bit.
