I'm currently using an Intel 8700K processor overclocked to 4.8 GHz, paired with a Founders Edition 4080 GPU, 32GB of RAM, an MSI Z370 Pro Carbon motherboard, an EVGA Gold 850 power supply, and a Corsair 110i water cooler. I've been playing MMOs at ultra-wide 1440p, and I usually see my CPU usage around 60-70%. I haven't encountered any major performance issues, but I'm wondering if I should upgrade my CPU to fully utilize my 4080's capabilities. Should I invest in a new CPU if my current setup seems fine?

If you’re not experiencing significant issues, it might be okay to hold off on an upgrade for now. But keep in mind that just because you're not maxing out your CPU, it doesn't mean it's not holding back performance.
Even though your CPU shows 60-70% usage, don't forget that many games aren’t well-optimized for multi-threading. So, upgrading could still be beneficial for you in the long run. It’s worth some testing, but I think you'd notice an improvement if you switch from your 8700K.
Honestly, the 8700K is a bit outdated at this point. Even a budget 12400F could give you substantial improvements. If you're going to keep the expensive GPU, it seems crazy to stick with old hardware like the 8700K.
