Hey everyone! I need some advice about upgrading my PC with an SSD. I don't have a ton of experience with computers, but I've been looking into SSD options. I've noticed that the speeds vary quite a bit, ranging from around 2400 MB/s to some that hit 7000 MB/s. My PC should be able to support speeds up to about 3500 MB/s, but I'm not entirely sure if I should invest an extra $60 for a 3500 MB/s SSD or if a slower one (around 2000-2400 MB/s) would still be adequate for gaming. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU, Gigabyte A520M S2H motherboard, and 16 GB of RAM. Any thoughts or recommendations?

It really depends on what you do. If you transfer a lot of files, a faster SSD can help. But for gaming, even a 500 MB/s SSD works fine. If you’re concerned about loading times, sure, faster is better, but you don't have to stress too much about it. Maybe consider spending the extra $60 on another component instead!
Stick with a PCIe 4 SSD that's slower; you won't see much difference. The key components affecting FPS are your CPU and GPU more than your SSD speeds. Save that $60 for something that will boost your gaming experience more!
In my experience, games don't really tap into those ultra-fast speeds. You’ll notice a difference going from an HDD to an SSD, but past a certain point, it's minimal. If you can find a good deal on a larger capacity like 2TB, I'd recommend that instead!
Honestly, I'd go for the slower SSD. Most people won't notice a difference in loading times between a cheap SATA SSD and a high-end NVMe SSD. You'll save some cash, and that's always nice!
