Is it worth paying extra for a motherboard with built-in Wi-Fi?

I'm considering whether to buy a motherboard that has built-in Wi-Fi. The main reason for this is that I want to use Bluetooth for my headphones and gamepad, which seems to be included in some of these motherboards. However, I've noticed that these options tend to be pricier. Should I go ahead and invest in a motherboard with Wi-Fi, or would it be better to get a USB Wi-Fi adapter instead? What's the price difference between these options, and which one tends to be more reliable?

Considering a USB Wi-Fi adapter can cost around $20, you need to weigh whether that’s better spent on a motherboard. You might also look into PCIe Wi-Fi adapters as a good middle ground.

I think it's worth getting a motherboard with built-in Wi-Fi because they usually provide a more stable connection than USB Wi-Fi adapters. They can save you a lot of headaches in the long run.

Honestly, built-in Wi-Fi is a one-time investment that’ll save you trouble later. It's becoming essential for modern motherboards.

Totally agree! USB sticks can be a hassle and don't perform as well, especially if you plan on using multiple Bluetooth devices.

If you’re planning on using several Bluetooth devices, go for the built-in option. USB adapters can work fine for just one device, and they're cheaper. But built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are more reliable overall.
