I'm considering upgrading my graphics card and found a PowerColor Reaper 9070 XT for $579.99 at my nearby MicroCenter. Meanwhile, they also have a Gigabyte Windforce SFF OC 5070 Ti available for $729.99. For an extra $150, is the Nvidia card worth it? I currently have a 3080, and while I was thinking of waiting for the next GPU release, I'm starting to doubt if that's the best plan. I'm likely to sell whatever I get now and may upgrade to newer models next year if they're priced reasonably.

When it comes to raw performance, the 9070 XT and 5070 Ti are pretty evenly matched, with the 9070 XT even outperforming the 5070 Ti in some cases. Unless you're really into ray tracing or DLSS, I don't see the point in spending more on the Nvidia card. I had a 3080 before jumping to the 9070 XT, and honestly, the 3080 still holds up great for high-end gaming at 1440p UW.
At $580 for the 9070 XT, you’re already getting an incredible deal. I really wouldn’t spend more on the 5070 Ti unless there's a specific feature you need from it.
Honestly, you're asking if an extra 25.86% cost is worth a marginal 0-10% performance boost? I’d say no way! It’s not a smart move unless you have a specific need for those extra features. Just save your cash!
Just go for the 9070 XT! It's a solid choice at that price point.

Exactly! At that price, it's a no-brainer.
