Is it worth switching from AMD to NVIDIA for a better streaming experience?

I'm considering changing my GPU from AMD to NVIDIA to improve my streaming quality. Even though my current AMD Radeon RX 6700XT is still a solid card, I've come across a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 ROG STRIX with 10GB for $325. Do you think it would be a good idea to swap my current GPU for that one, or should I continue looking for something else? Here are my system specs: I have an ASUS TUF Gaming Z490-Plus motherboard, a 240mm AIO CPU liquid cooler, an Intel Core i7-10700K CPU, 64GB of RAM, and a Corsair RM850X PSU.

It sounds like you might get a nice upgrade! But just to note, the RTX model matters; for example, you'd probably need at least an RTX 3070 or 5060 for a noticeable improvement over your current card. Since you mentioned it's a 3080, you should be good there. It's worth checking if it fits your needs better for streaming, especially with 4K gaming in mind!

The price for that RTX 3080 at $325 sounds like a steal, but it’s crucial to check the exact model. NVIDIA has a lot of RTX series cards spanning several generations, so you'd want to make sure this one actually offers a performance boost over your RX 6700XT for what you're planning to do. If you're serious about gaming performance, the RTX 3080 is generally recognized as a solid upgrade, especially for streaming thanks to its better handling of real-time ray tracing and DLSS.
