I'm looking to upgrade my GPU because my current 4060 is struggling with the latest games. I found a Palit GeForce RTX 5070 available for $618. I'm mainly gaming at 1080p and wondering if it's worth making the switch, especially since I'm using a Ryzen 7 5700X3D processor. Any advice?

Are you sure the GPU is your bottleneck? Sometimes it might be more than just the graphics card that's limiting your performance!
Definitely, it’s a significant upgrade!
I’d actually recommend considering a 9060XT 16GB along with a 1440p monitor instead. Trust me, the visual quality will be way better than just upgrading to the 5070, especially since it won't fully utilize its potential at 1080p. The 9060XT can handle almost any game on high settings at 60fps.
It's a bit of a mixed bag, honestly. The upgrade from 4060 to 5070 is said to boost performance by around 83%. If you're not happy with your 4060 and think that kind of improvement will make a difference for your gaming, then go for it! Just check the average FPS for the 5070 at 1080p to ensure it meets your expectations. If it doesn't, you might need to think about spending a little more or just waiting it out.
I say go for it! I'm leaning towards getting the 5070 Prime myself.
Just a heads up, the 4060 is still pretty solid for gaming at 1080p high settings and even 1440p at medium.
What do you mean by that?
