I just picked up a 5070 during a rollback sale for $490 at Walmart. I've been playing a few games at 1440p, and it's performing well so far. However, I'm a bit concerned about the 12GB of VRAM in relation to future games. I noticed that Micro Center has a 9070 XT available for $580. Should I switch to the 9070 XT, or stick with the 5070?

The 9070 XT is about 23% more powerful, so spending the extra $100 can be worthwhile in the future. Just keep in mind you might miss out on Nvidia's AI features and CUDA support, but if you're primarily gaming, that upgrade is probably smart.
VRAM is important for future-proofing, and 16GB has become the new standard. That's why I chose the 9070 XT over the 5070. I was actually eyeing a cheaper card, but investing in a Nitro+ was worth it for the massive upgrade from my old 5700 XT.
Don’t stress too much! The 5070 is a fantastic card. If you find that it's not meeting your needs in a year or two, you can always upgrade then. Plus, the performance boost you're getting right now is definitely noticeable from the 2070 you were using.
I hear you! I felt the same way about my old GPU and I was worried about FOMO. After seeing the performance of the 5070, I’m glad I upgraded!
If you're not maxing out graphical settings or only playing indie games, the 5070 should serve you well. I’m still on 10GB at 1440p with low settings for higher FPS, and that works great for me. But honestly, the 9070 XT offers a significant performance boost for just a $90 difference, so it's a solid choice if you're gaming seriously.

Totally agree! I’d take the 5070 Ti over both if budget allows, though.
