Hey folks! I'm currently using a Ryzen 5800X (not the 3D version) paired with 32 GB of RAM on a B550 A-Gaming motherboard and an RTX 3080. I've been feeling some CPU bottlenecking while gaming at 1440p, especially when trying to stream or watch videos on a second monitor. I was considering an upgrade to AM5, but I'm really put off by the skyrocketing RAM prices right now. Should I wait it out, or should I consider a jump to an AM4 CPU like the 5900X? I've heard this pricing issue could last for a couple more years, and shelling out money seems unwise since I'm not earning a ton. Would an upgrade be worthwhile, or is sticking with the 5800X still a good call?

Honestly, I'd hold onto your setup for now. I've got the same CPU and GPU, and I haven't faced any issues playing at 1440p. You might just be overthinking the bottleneck, especially if your gaming experience is smooth. Take it easy!

Really? You haven't had any stuttering or issues when playing heavier games? This makes me wonder if I'm just expecting too much.
