I'm currently gaming at 1440p with my RTX 3070, which I've overclocked manually. While I achieved a TimeSpy DX12 score of 15,017, I'm not satisfied with the low FPS performance, particularly the 1% lows. I'm looking to upgrade but I'm overwhelmed by the options. In my area, I can sell my RTX 3070 for about $250-$290. I'm considering the new RTX 5070 priced at around $695 (which is $100 above MSRP) or used options like the RTX 4070 Ti for $545 or the RTX 4070 for $470. My PC specs include an i7-13700, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a B760 motherboard. Is it worth investing in a new GPU?

I upgraded from a 3070 to a 4070 Ti last year, and it was a game changer! I loved my 3070, but the performance increase was huge. I couldn't go back after that upgrade!
If you're focused on FPS for online gaming, the 4070 Ti is a better choice and more affordable. It delivers great performance on a 27-inch 1440p monitor. The 5070 has some new tech and is better for AAA gaming with higher settings, but for pure FPS, the 4070 Ti shines. Just keep in mind that you might see lower FPS overall with AAA titles on the 4070 Ti compared to the 5070. Personally, I won't be upgrading to the 50 series since the performance bump isn't that significant for what we do.
If you don't have a Microcenter nearby, the 5070s are being stocked heavily around $600 lately. But I get that prices can vary a lot depending on where you are!

I'm in South Korea, and the import costs for PC components are ridiculous. It's really frustrating!
