Is it worth upgrading from an RTX 3080 12GB?

Hey everyone! I recently picked up a nice used gaming rig that came with a Rog Strix RTX 3080 12GB. I'm considering selling it to fund an upgrade but I'm not sure what options are out there with the budget I'd get from selling it. Would it make sense to upgrade at all? I'm located in Canada but I'm open to hearing from folks anywhere. Just to give you some context: my setup includes an i5 13600k, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a Seasonic Focus SPX 750W PSU. Cooling isn't an issue for me, plus my case is ITX but it can fit the Rog Strix. What do you all think?

Honestly, I wonder why you'd want to sell a solid card like the 3080. It's still a beast for gaming unless you have specific needs for more power. Just my two cents!

Thanks for the perspective! Your response is exactly what I needed to hear. Maybe I'll hold on to it for a bit longer.

Upgrading can be tricky with the RTX 3080. The next cards that offer a significant boost in performance are the 5080 and maybe the 5070 Ti, but it's worth checking their current prices too. In the US market, the 3080 is still fetching around $400-550, especially since it's a Strix model, which has a good reputation. In Canada, it might be a bit different, but keep an eye on those prices!

Yeah, I've noticed similar trends in prices here. The 3080 still holds its value pretty well, and I'd be cautious about upgrading unless you really need that extra power.
