Is it Worth Upgrading My CPU/Motherboard for a 5070 Ti?

I'm currently running an Intel i7-8700k with 32GB of DDR4, but I'm finding that my 5070 Ti is getting bottlenecked by my CPU. I'm wondering if it's worth it to invest in a new CPU and motherboard while sticking with DDR4 until prices settle down. My main use is for rendering, but I also like to game when I can. Any recommendations on what CPU/mobo combo would be a good fit for this situation?

If you're leaning toward AMD, check out the Ryzen 5 5600 or 5700X with a B550 motherboard. It’s a combo that works really well and you can easily find performance videos on YouTube to see how it stacks up. Plus, it's a good balance for gaming and rendering!

Yeah, I've seen some comparisons. Looks promising for both gaming and productivity.

For your needs, I'd recommend looking into Intel's 13th or 14th gen CPUs. They provide excellent performance, and you can pair them with DDR4 motherboards, which would be great since you want to keep your existing RAM. It's a solid upgrade path!
