I have a decent gaming system with a Ryzen 5 5600, MSI B550-A PRO motherboard, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, an ACER Predator BiFrost Intel Arc A750 OC GPU, a 1TB KIOXIA EXCERIA PRO NVMe SSD, and a DeepCool PN650M power supply. I'm considering whether I should upgrade from the Arc A750 to either an Arc B580 or an RX 6750 XT. Additionally, should I upgrade my Ryzen 5 5600 to a Ryzen 5700X3D? I want to make sure my system is future-proof, especially since it's for my son and we're playing at 1080P.

Upgrading to the 5700X3D might not be the best move right now. You'd see minimal gains with your current setup. Instead, focus on getting a better GPU first. The RX 6750 XT should provide you with a decent performance increase, but you might also want to consider a 3070.
The B580 is an upgrade from the A750, but you're only looking at a 15-20% improvement, plus a bit more VRAM. The 6750 XT, however, is around a 10-15% jump over the B580, with better support and less overhead from the CPU. Just keep in mind it does consume more power and its ray tracing performance isn't as strong.
Either of the GPU options would definitely give you a boost. I’d probably lean towards the AMD card, but the B580 is a solid choice for the price and offers a much better upscaler than what you currently have.
