Is it worth upgrading my mom’s PC from a 580 to a 5800 XT?

I'm considering upgrading my mom's computer. She has a Ryzen 3600 CPU and currently uses a Radeon 580 GPU, along with 16 GB of RAM (two 8 GB sticks). I've spotted a 5800 XT for $150, which comes with a cooler. She's not a hardcore gamer—just doing typical grandma activities on her PC. Do you think upgrading to the 5800 XT would make a significant difference in her general computing tasks?

Honestly, unless she's playing more demanding games or using heavy software, that 5800 XT might be overkill. The 580 should manage her grandma tasks just fine. Are you really aiming for a noticeable performance boost here?

A Ryzen 3600 is actually more than capable for basic tasks, so I'm curious why you're looking to upgrade. For her usual activities, the 580 is probably fine. Is it just about wanting to boost her performance?

I understand the urge to upgrade! If she loves her PC and you want to improve it for her, it might be worth it if you can afford it. Just keep in mind the real-world benefits might be minimal.
